USE CASE

File issues with the viewpoint baked in

'That low beam on floor 3' becomes a single URL. Recipients open it and see exactly the angle and element you selected. BCF-equivalent flow, free, in the browser.

Issue list with status + priority badges

Eliminate the 'which element?' loop with viewpoint snapshots

The most-repeated question in BIM review is "which one are you talking about?". Bimly captures the camera position and the selected element when you file the issue, so opening the URL auto-focuses the same view.

Comments are threaded; status moves through open → in_progress → resolved → closed. Assign issues to teammates so they show up on each person's TODO. The Activity feed surfaces every change across the project in one list.

Everything you need from issue tracking

BCF-equivalent workflows, browser-native

More capabilities

Bimly does more than just one thing

Not just a viewer. Author, review, validate, and share architectural BIM — entirely in the browser.

Common questions

Can I import/export BCF files?
Not yet — Bimly issues are native today. BCF round-trip is on the roadmap.
Are there email notifications?
In-app only currently. Email notifications (assigned, commented, resolved) are planned for the next release.
How do I find specific issues?
Filter by status, priority, assignee, or storey. Full-text body search is available via the AI Search feature.
Can outside contributors file issues?
Yes, via member invite at Reviewer role. Free workspaces support 5 members; Pro will raise that to 50 after GA.
How is this different from Solibri or BIMcollab?
Solibri / BIMcollab are dedicated heavy tools. Bimly trades full-fidelity clash detection for a free, browser-only workflow that combines issues, viewpoints, and sharing in one place.
